Recent Revelations

Heyyyyy, long time no see! Have you ever taken on like, way too much and then taken a step back and realize you can’t handle that? That’s kind of how Blogtober was for me. Blogging once a day for 31 days was way too much. Especially with a computer that doesn’t work! By the end of the month, blogging wasn’t fun anymore, it was yet another thing I had to check off my list.

Right now blogging is a hobby of mine. I don’t get paid and I have a full-time job as well. I also have other hobbies I enjoy, a husband who needs love, a dog that needs attention, and a house that needs managed. Blogging should be fun, not something I dread or beat myself up over if I miss a day.

So, for the time being, there will have to be some changes to The Midwestern Mrs. Please don’t expect regularly scheduled blogs every Tuesday and Thursday like how it used to be. (Those were the good ol’ days!) Honestly, blogs might be on-hold until I get a new computer. I’m way too old to be typing out posts on my phone like I’m doing now!

Now that we’ve got that out of the way, how was your Halloween? I hope you got more treats than tricks! I’m super excited for the Christmas season. My husband won’t allow me to decorate yet, but I am listening to Christmas music and I’ll watch the Hallmark movies. If I beg and plead maybe he’ll let me decorate a week before Thanksgiving. 🀞

Well, that’s all I have for right now. I guess I’ll see ya when I see ya! Maybe Santa will bring me a new laptop and I’ll see you sooner rather than later! πŸŽ…πŸ»
