What’s in My Sephora Cart

Just a fraction of my lipstick
Just a fraction of my lipstick

As you can see from my photo, I don’t have a lot of makeup, and I really need to buy some more. /s But in reality, the Sephora VIB sale is coming up, and even though I lost my Rogue status last year (the horror!), I’ll be stocking up on some favorites this week!

Old Favorites

Fresh Lotus Youth Preserve Face Cream with Super 7 Complex: This moisturizer is my holy grail. It is light enough for summer, but it still gives me really moisturized skin. I usually use it year-round, but this winter was so dry I had to switch to something more heavy duty. Oh, did I mention that this smells amazing? It’s like a cucumber scent that I love.

Living Proof Perfect Hair Day Dry Shampoo: I’ve used a lot of dry shampoos, and this one is by far my favorite. I don’t wash my hair every day, so this really helps my hair last on day two, three and sometimes even four. I use it before I go to bed, so it has time to work throughout the night. In the morning, my hair looks great!

Fresh Sugar Lip Treatment in Rosé: This is my favorite lip balm that I’ve ever used. It has a faint pink tint to it, which I like. When I’m slathering on chapstick all day, it makes me look a little bit more put together, which I appreciate.

Beauty Blenders: I love, love, love using Beauty Blenders to put on my foundation, so I’ll be picking up a few more of these. I was recently talking to the trainer at Sephora, and she recommended always using a brush for your face makeup, and I told her I’d most likely use a Beauty Blender. She said that was how you could tell someone was a millennial, and she’s not wrong there! #MillennialandProud

Something New

Anastasia Beverly Hills Modern Renaissance Palette: I’ve had my eye on this palette for a long time, and it’s finally in my cart. I was between Modern Renaissance and Subculture, but this one won out. I just don’t see myself using yellows on my eyes.

Tarte Tartiest Lash Paint Mascara: I have a hard time finding mascaras that I really like, so I’m cautiously optimistic for this one. I like my mascara to being fluffy, long lashes to my eyes, but I feel like a lot of the time I get them to be lumpy or just a black blob. So, fingers crossed that I like this one!

I’ve also added a mini of Too Faced Better Than Sex mascara that my sister-in-law suggested I try. She said it’s her favorite, so I’ll compare between that and Tarte. I’m also looking for a great facial scrub, but haven’t found the winner yet.

Will you be picking up anything at Sephora this week? I’d love to hear what is in your cart!

xo, Meghan

  1. I bought the modern renaissance palette recently! I really love it, although it was a bit warmer than I was expecting 🙂 Still, it’s a great palette with some unique shades. The greyish purple is my favorite and some of the neutral shimmers, although I don’t think I can pull off the more reddish shades. I hope you like it too!
