Books on my TBR List Right Now

IMG_2139I just love looking for new books to add to my Goodreads account, and sometimes that is almost more fun than reading the actual books! I get ideas from social media like Pinterest and Instagram, but also from podcasts and family and friends. My list of books on my TBR (To Be Read) List is always growing, and probably unsurmountable, but that doesn’t stop me! Here are just some books I’m really excited to read.

The Great Alone by Kristin Hannah

This has been on my TBR List since it came out, and I finally have it on my iPad from the library. Unfortunately, it came in at the same time as four other books. I almost picked it up while I was browsing at Barnes & Noble earlier this summer, but I decided to get I’ll Be Gone in the Dark instead. No regrets there! I’m hoping I’ll get some solid reading done on my flights to and from Vegas, so hopefully this one will from TBR to Read soon!

Marriage Vacation by Pauline Turner Brooks

Do you watch the show Younger on TV Land? If not, it’s super great, go catch up on past seasons right now! Anyway, in the show, the main character works at a publishing house in New York, and they publish this book, Marriage Vacation. Little did I know the book in the show became a real book. Also, the TV show is based off a book, too. So, I’m curious to read this book because it sounded really interesting in the show, but I’m not sure how high my expectations are.

To All the Boys I’ve Loved Before by Jenny Han

I’ve heard super great things about this book, and I already watched the movie on Netflix, and thought it was so good! I’m usually not a huge reader of YA fiction, but everyone seems to be talking about this one, and the sequel, so it had to go on my list.

A Summer in Sonoma by Robin Carr

Hallmark movies are my jam. Seriously, the cheesier the better in my opinion. I don’t care that they all follow a formula and they all have happy endings, in fact, I love it! So, when it comes to books, I tend to gravitate toward the the ones that are Hallmark movies in book format. My mom read this and said it’s easy, breezy and totally Hallmarky. Sign me up!

The Mitford Murders by Jessica Fellowes

This one caught my eye while looking at a bookstore, and it looked so cute! It’s a murder story set in the 1920s. I think at the time I was really intrigued because Hubby and I just watched Murder on the Orient Express, and this book seemed to fit nicely with it. Also, the author is the niece Julian Fellowes, who created and produced Downtown Abbey, so you know I’m down for that!

Still Life by Louise Penny

Louise Penny has an entire series featuring this main character, Chief Inspector Armand Gamache, and I’ve been hearing about it for years. It’s often mentioned on my favorite podcast, What Should I Read Next?, as both a recommendation from the host, and favorites of the guests. Still Life is the first in the series, so I figured this would be the place to start. I believe there are like 17 books in the series so far, so I’ve got some reading to do!

What’s on your TBR List? Are there any books you are particularly excited about?

xoxo, (1)
