I love cooking with the seasons, and in the fall, I love to cook soups, casseroles and comfort food. Here are some recipes that I love to cook, and I want to try this fall. What will you be cooking this season?
Chili is super great to make on a cold, autumn night. I love my crockpot chili. It’s perfect to make on a Sunday, so you can smell it cooking all day while watching football. It’s also great for a weeknight meal. It cooks all day and you have the perfect pot of chili done when you get home from work!
Frito Taco Bake
If you love anything cheesy, then you have to try making my Frito Taco Bake! It’s super easy to make, is great for a weeknight meal and is so delicious! It’s not the healthiest thing you can make, but comfort food is all about warm, deliciousness that is full of calories, right?
Bean with Bacon Soup
My mom used to make ham and bean soup when I was younger and I refused to eat it. I thought it was terrible, and would throw a fit anytime it was on the menu. But, a couple of years ago, she was making it and it smelled so good. So, I asked for a bowl and it was the best thing ever! Now I’m super excited to make this bean with bacon soup from The Pioneer Woman that sounds so good!
Spicy Avocado Chicken Enchiladas
I love making these enchiladas on the weekend. They have so much flavor, and are really easy to make! My husband isn’t a huge fan of avocado, so I usually just omit that in about half of them.
Crockpot Ham & Potato Soup
Potato soup is my jam, and I love this version that can be made in crockpot. This is another recipe that my mom used to make all the time when I was younger, and it has such nostalgic quality to it.
