A bucket list item of mine is to visit all 50 states. I’m doing pretty well on my list so far, but I still have a lot of states to visit! Today I’m sharing some of my favorites places I’ve visited in the US.
Alaska: In college my dad had to go to Alaska for a business trip, and he took the entire family along, too. It was hands down one of the coolest trips I’ve ever been on. The scenery is just beyond beautiful and we had so much fun. The best thing we did was we took a train ride on the Alaskan railroad, and then canoed over to an actual glacier and had lunch.
California: Right after I turned 21, my parents took my brother and I to Napa Valley for a trip. I loved touring the different wineries, and although my favorite wine back then was Arbor Mist, I still had a super fun time.
Colorado: I’ve been to Colorado a few times now, and I just absolutely love it. I’ve been with Hubby, and my family separately, and I always have fun. If I could move to Denver, I would for sure. Maybe it’s because I grew up in flat Nebraska, but I love just seeing mountains everywhere.
Hawaii: Oh my gosh, does anyone not love Hawaii? It’s gorgeous, the weather is perfect and I could spend all of my days laying out on a beach on the North Shore eating shrimp tacos from shrimp trucks for lunch. Honestly, that was my vacation in a nutshell!
Nevada: I just visited Nevada for the first time this year when Hubby and I went to Las Vegas. It was super incredible! I want to go back to Vegas like, right now.
Tennessee: What’s better than Las Vegas? Oh, yeah, Nashville. I’m freaking obsessed with Nashvegas. I love the country music, the bars, the food, the weather, literally everything about that place. Also, they have one of the best indie bookstores I’ve ever been to!
Washington: In college I went to Seattle, and totally fell in love with the city. While I was there, I drank so much coffee that I had heartburn for like a week later. But, it was worth it because the coffee was all incredible, and I’m not just talking about Starbucks!
Where have you been in the US? What was your favorite state? I’d love to hear about it!
