I get home from work pretty early in the day, and sometimes I’m just bored. I don’t want to waste my precious time before dinner watching TV, but sometimes I just don’t know what to do. Do you ever get that bored feeling when you want to do something, but you can’t think of anything to do? I’m sharing a list of things that sometimes get me out of that bored funk.
I have a love-hate relationship with working out. I completely hate it, until I’m actually doing it. Then I love it. But the hardest thing to do is to actually start. So, sometimes when I’m bored, I take that as a sign I Just need to workout. I don’t belong to a gym anymore, I just do a few videos on YouTube!
I love reading, and it usually can entertain me for a long time. If I don’t want to watch TV, but I still want to be entertained, I’ll pick up a book. I’ll light a candle, pour myself something to drink and curl up with a blanket.
Giving myself a manicure is something that I not only enjoy, but I’ll appreciate doing later. I love it when my nails are painted; I just feel more complete.
When you’re bored, give your dog some love and take then out for a walk! Chloe loves going for walks, and we actually have a lot of great walking trails around the house.
Bake or Cook Something
Get to your Pinterest boards and pick something to bake or cook! I love baking, and it always puts me in a good mood. Sometimes I really want to bake, but I don’t want to have a bunch of sweets in my house, so I’ll just take my baked goods to work for everyone to share!
Listen to a Podcast
I love podcasts! I’ll put one at home to listen to while I’m doing something like painting my nails or cooking. There are so many great podcasts out there now, and there is something for everyone!
I’ve always got a few crafts going, and and I like that most of them can be picked up and worked on at any time. Right now I’ve got two cross stitch projects, a crochet project and some other random things that need finishing. So if you’re bored, start a new craft project, or pick up an old one!
