How is it already the middle of June? I feel like I just moved to Kansas City like, last week!
The new season of The Bachelorette started a few weeks ago and I am living for Becca K! Does anyone else watch? What do you think of this season so far? Every Monday, a few family members have been getting together at each other’s houses to watch, and last night was my turn to host. It was so much fun! I whipped up a few of my favorite apps for everyone to munch on like Rotel Dip, Buffalo Chicken Pinwheels and little smokies in BBQ sauce. But my favorite thing to make were these brownies with Salted Caramel Frosting.
Asparagus is one of my favorite vegetables, and I cook it all the time when it’s in season. Luckily my husband and family love it too, so it’s great to make when everyone is together. This weekend was my mom’s birthday, so we cooked her a lovely dinner at the lake house complete with steak, risotto and, everyone’s favorite, asparagus. It was a hit!
We’re finally in our home and we are slowly getting unpacked. We had the movers deliver all of our boxes and furniture, but they wouldn’t take and liquids, so my parents brought down boxes of cooking ingredients. I’ve been in such a cooking mood because this kitchen is worlds better than our old one. It’s bright and open and has an island. I feel giddy every time I look at it. Plus, it’s even more special to us because I picked out everything inside. We’ve only been in the house about two weeks, so we haven’t been cooking too much, but Hubby and I have been trying to cook at home more.
